The 51-year-old man charged with killing two people in January over a rent dispute was ruled competent on Monday to stand trial for the grisly slayings.

The manhunt for Arthur ‘Arturo’ Anaya, 54, continued into Wednesday.

Anaya has an arrest warrant out for him charging two counts of murder with a $1 million bond awaiting him if captured.

Police say he shot in the face 16-year-old Austin Urban on Monday and shot in the forehead 51-year-old Theresa Vigil. Both died. The pair, along with Vigil’ 17-year-old daughter (more…)

State Police have arrested 28 year old Donald Ferran of Ojo Caliente for the Feb. 28 double homicide of 27 year old Sarah Salazar and 25 year old Joey Maestas of Rio Arriba County. In a multiple felony count arrest warrant, Donald Ferran will face charges of Murder in the First Degree (2 Counts) and Tampering with Evidence (2 Counts) (more…)
