The FBI and Santa Fe Police on Tuesday arrested 23-year-old Jamie Jesus Sanchez-Ramos in connection with an April 2 bank robbery.

The arrest warrant affidavit filed in US District Court by the FBI states Sanchez-Ramos stole more than $56,000 from two tellers at the U.S. Bank located at 3787 Cerrillos Road on April 2. He was then seen in video surveillance, the FBI says, at a nearby Lowes hardware store stuffing a jacket and $48,000 cash in a trash bin at the store.

It is unclear if the FBI has an accomplice suspect or whether they believe there even is an accomplice, but the agency released images after the robbery of Sanchez-Ramos talking on the cell phone in the parking lot around the time of the robbery.

Sanchez-Ramos was arrested Tuesday afternoon at his job at the Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi in downtown Santa Fe.
