Catron County —The body of (58) year old Micah True of Colorado was located today. Trues’ body was found in a remote area of the Gila Wilderness.

True has been missing in the Gila Wilderness near the Gila Hot Springs since Tuesday evening March 27. When True did not return from the run, State Police were contacted and a Search and Rescue mission was activated Wednesday morning, March 28.

Volunteer Search and Rescue Teams from through-out New Mexico participated in the four day search. These teams included hikers, K9, horseback, and ATV’s. Aircraft were also utilized in the search.

The New Mexico State Police would like to thank all the Search and Rescue Volunteer Teams who participated in this search for their continued support. Your continued dedication and sacrifice is the reason Search and Rescue missions in New Mexico are possible and so successful.
