This from the NM Attorney General’s Office:
Attorney General Gary King is proud to announce that Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Supervisor Anthony Maez has received an Award Citation from United States Attorney Kenneth Gonzales, recognizing his leadership of the joint ICAC operation.
In the Award Citation, U.S. Attorney Gonzales relays his appreciation for Maez’s work as Supervisory Special Agent, growing the ICAC Task Force to more than 60 local, state, and federal affiliates.
The award states:”…the ICAC Task Force has grown to include tribal affiliates who have committed themselves to becoming active members of the Task Force because of Agent Maez’s efforts to encourage interagency cooperation in this very important area of law enforcement…Agent Maez serves as the primary recipient of cyber-tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. He is available to receive these tips 24/7 and quickly disperses them to ICAC affiliates to ensure expeditious investigation. Investigation of these cyber-tips has resulted in the successful prosecution of numerous child predators…Supervisory Special Agent Maez is recognized for making the ICAC Task Force a significant force in the battle to protect our children.”
Agent Maez has served in Attorney General King’s ICAC Unit since 2008. The larger affiliate ICAC Task Force is devoted to protecting children, and identifying and stopping predators who exploit children throughout the District of New Mexico.
