State District Judge Glenn Ellington on Friday denied a bond-reduction request for vehicular homicide suspect Juan de Dios Cordova.

Public defender Damian Horne requested the bond be reduced to a $30,000 property bond while his client awaits trial. Ellington opted to keep the bond set at $100,000 cash only.

Cordova on Wednesday was bound over for trial for the May 28 crash that killed motorcyclist Mark Wolfe, 51, of Algodones, on N.M. 76 near Chimayó. Police say a drunk Cordova crashed his truck, head on, into Wolfe’s motorcycle and two others. Cordova is also charged with causing great bodily harm to Wolfe’s wife and another motorcyclist.
