More on Thursday from the Rio Arriba vehicular homicide saga playing out the past couple weeks in state district court regarding Juan de Dios Cordova.

This from The New Mexican’s news partners at KOB-TV (it’s about time Gadi Schwartz gets back from his several week vacation and gets back to work):

The largest piece of evidence in a Santa Fe DWI case has been destroyed, a move that could jeopardize the prosecution of suspected drunk driver Juan de Dios Cordova.

Thursday, KOB Eyewitness News 4 learned the truck Cordova is suspected of driving, the single largest piece of evidence in the case, was destroyed in early September.

Here is the KOB article link (w/ video) followed by a link from Thursday’s Rio Grande Sun that has a good recap of the past couple weeks of the preliminary hearing and all the drama that goes with most criminal cases in Rio Arriba County:

The preliminary hearing resumes Friday in Santa Fe.
