A fund to help out the family of 19-year-old Vanessa Carrillo, the EMT critically injured in Tuesday morning’s head-on collision on I-25, has been set up at First Community Bank.

I’m told by employees there an e-mail was sent out so all staff knows of the fund and those wanting to contribute can ask for the fund by name — Vanessa Carrillo — and there is no need for account No. info for a contribution.

James Valencia, the Chief of La Cienega Fire Department where Carrillo is a volunteer, helped set up the fund.

Also, here is a video photographer Luis Sanchez Saturno shot Tuesday at the scene of the crash of a tow truck working on the Rocky Mountain EMS ambulance Carrillo was driving when she was struck.
