The Santa Fe Police Department has been boasting lately about a good run of burglary-related arrests.

That’s all well and good, but victims just want their stuff back.

On Sept. 22, the department will give that opportunity to the public with an open viewing of property recently seized in burglary-related operations. The viewing will be form 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the main station (2515 Camino Entrada).

To claim an item, victims must provide the following:

  1. Government-issued picture identification, including a drivers license, passport or military ID
  2. Case number of your reported incident (people who never reported their items stolen are going to have a hard time convincing police a piece of property is theirs)
  3. Evidence of ownership (Serial Number, receipts, photographs, etc…)
