With yet another homicide investigation going on in the same Santa Fe area off West Alameda Street, District 1 City Councilors Patti Bushee and Chris Calvert will host a public meeting March 17 with the police chief concerning public safety in the area.

This is the news release the city sent out Tuesday:
District 1 City Councilors Patti Bushee and Chris Calvert are hosting an important public safety meeting this Saturday, March 17, at noon at the Mary Esther Gonzales Senior Center, 1121 Alto Street. Police Chief Ray Rael will join the Councilors to discuss the recent suspicious deaths near the Torreon neighborhood, as well as other property crimes. The public is invited, particularly residents of Barrio Torreon, Barrio La Cañada and Casa Solana.
“I have received many calls and emails from concerned residents. I encourage people to attend this meeting to share their concerns about public safety, and learn how our police department is ensuring safety around the West Alameda area,” explained City Councilor Patti J. Bushee.
