The body of Joshua Valentine, who was 24 when he went missing around Dec. 19, was found by a hiker Sunday in an area between Seaton Village and Rancho Viejo.
The hiker contacted the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office, which reported Monday the remains were in fact Valentine, but have not said how he died. The Sheriff’s Office is awaiting the results of an autopsy to be conducted by the Office of the Medical Investigator in Albuquerque.
Capt. Adan Mendoza said there is no reason initially to suspect foul play.
