Murder suspect Russell Harris, 32, turned himself in without incident Tuesday night at the Santa Fe County jail. He was served an arrestwarrant charging an open count of murder in connection with the Sunday night shooting death of 24-year-old Julian Cordova in the 2100 block of Rancho Siringo Road.

He turned himself in shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday, police told me.

Here is a link to the article published in Wednesday’s New Mexican: Murder suspect surrenders

Keep checking back here and at the New Mexican throughout Wednesday for some developments in this investigation that should finally shed more light on the motive for the shootings (there were two shooting scenes). I’m fairly certain of at least one operation that should come through that will provide us all with more answers.

This is a complete shock to me, as well as other parents because Russell was my childs basketball coach. He was always so good with the kids, and so involved. I am in complete shock, I guess it just goes to show that you never really know whats going on with anyone, and how fast someones life can change in an instant.
